Moffitt Cancer Center Overview
While at Moffitt Cancer Center, I was involved in a full rebuild of the website. Initially, I managed the site using Sitefinity CMS, which had limitations, especially in handling content from our research department. To address this, we transitioned to an ASP.NET platform and implemented a more robust database to better support research-related content. At the time, Flash was still widely used, and I was asked to create a digital magazine for our Annual Report. I developed a flipbook in Flash, which met the needs effectively and was well received.

Moffitt.org
The public facing website was organized in a way for patients, physicians, healthcare providers and researchers to easily access their content from the main page. First and foremost is the patient, and the patient stories would display in the header with a prompt to watch a video and read their heart-felt journey. Previously, the non-patient related content was difficult to find, especially cancer research studies. The new site brought access to all the buried content right to the home page without overwhelming the user.
Moffitt Magazine Flipbook
The long-standing quarterly report had been distributed as a printed piece and offered as a pdf to download from the website. Providing a digital presentation with the pdf as a supplement allowed the department an opportunity to phase out the printed piece, thereby saving time and reducing the budget.
